Twitter is a really useful tool because, say if you school has twitter like mine, you can "fallow" them on twitter and check up on the new school updates, and school activities that are coming up in the school, or you can also fallow your teachers at your school and check up on when you assignments are due, or when there are new assignment updates and more, they are able to connect with us easily and if you have a phone sometimes it will update on your phone, so you get school updates on your mobile device.

Youtube is also a very useful application tool you are able to to take videos of yourself or something, post is and people from all over the world can view your video, there are a lot of videos that go "viral" everyday, this means that with in the first day of posting your video you get over a million views. You are able to post videos of your opinion about political topics, use your own creativity on creating videos that could be funny, inspiring or just plain silly, like me and my best friend made a youtube channel years ago. Windows live messenger is a very useful application for talking to people, you can talk to classmates about an up coming project, you can share idea over chat, you can use a video feature to video chat, but its great for sharing projects and ideas, if you are in partnered groups or you need ideas for your own project you can use it for that, it is also a application on most standard cellular phones. This is an example of it being used for school.

Wikipedia is a extremely great application for searching up information, teachers don't prefer it being there is a thing where you can edit articles, but actually the information that was already on there that are true facts is what you see, so what ever you are searching up on this website is all true and reliable facts. So you you are reading up on something and you want to know about it, then it gives you everything you need to know about, also if you have to write down information for a project, you can use the information given and you can put it in your own words! (so you don't plagiarize) here is an example of Wikipedia for school. My assignment is to learn about Europe.

Windows DVD maker is a very useful application for making movies, slide shows and editing footage. You can make videos for school, for work, for events like weddings and funerals, if you are making something for school you could also upload it to Youtube, for other people to view, or even post it on Facebook for people to see you video, you could also share it on a blog or twitter, there are many sites that you can upload videos to, but if you want your video to be good it has to be edited! you can do colour effects, write subtitles and and make different slides go together like a movie!

Wikispaces is a really useful tool for school cause you can write up documents and make cool and creative stull, like this project im doing right now, called a digital backpack, I'm using the program Wikispaces to do this project so you can see what I can go on this application because i did my project on this website, so there is no need for a example, because this whole project was done on Wikispaces.
This is one of my favorite applications because you can make a zoom and edit presentation on here, you can take youtube videos and out them in your presentation, you could also write out your presentation creatively but also professionally. There are a lot of cool editing tools that you can use to make your presentation creative and show your sense of creativity cleanly and efficiently! this is a example of me using Prezi for school!

Paint is a really cool tool because you can draw things free hand or make cool shapes, you can make creative pictures and put them in slide shows into videos and you can edit this you could also use it sort of like Photoshop a other cool tool used for editing pictures, well you could edit pictures on pain, Its a little bit easier, but harder than Photoshop! Here is a example of me using paint for school i used it for my mitosis flip book in science! (file would NOT upload >:| (Frustrated face)
Skype is also a really useful tool for video chatting through video, you can talk to classmates and come up with a project like as if you where talking face to face. You can also type in chat so you can type out sentences or you can video chat with the physical person you can also make real phone calls to people if you know their mobile number, so you can talk to them if they are out doing errands you could call them from home on your computer or from your i Pod or I pad, this is a really easy tool for talking to people for conference calling of even for work, if you are doing a meeting with your boss, or if you are meeting with a boss from a different country. You can connect with different Skype members from all over the world, because it works anywhere in the world, all you need to do is create an account. (couldn't upload image..... again >:| )

Quizlet is a very easy and simple tool for studying, you can use this app to make things like flash cards to help you with an upcoming test of exam. You write out the digital Q-cards and study from them. You can study for every subject, from Chemistry to math to even studying different languages, not only for studying but even for learning! Quizlet helped me study for my last science test, and i think that it helped me a lot.
Google docs is a other really useful tool for writing up documents, you use it online and you can write up stories, documents and resumes. You can also use different formats, you can write in different fonts and sizes and personalize it the way you want. I think its a lot like Microsoft word but to me the only difference is that its online, I like Google docs better than Word, because I feel like there are more options, but really If you face a horrible internet connection and can never connect or it always gets interrupted then i would use word instead of Google docs because its online, but a extremely useful thing about Google docs is that it automatically saves your work, word doesn't. Microsoft word you have to manually save, but almost after ever word you type on Google docs is saved, so its a good thing if you have a horrible connection to your internet, cause it will save it but its annoying being interrupted.

Blogger is obviously a bogging website, well first of all what is a blog? well a blog is something you create, and you make your own, you upload anything, you can make a blog about things, like how i made one for school. On the blog that I made for school I put up projects and stuff that I did digitally for school. The things that you put on a blog can be viewed publicly. Example, someone makes a blog about Art, and about the art that they have created, well they can post pictures and stories about it and people can look at it, well We made one for assignments, went from writing documents, videos and posting pictures .Here's the example of my blog:

Facebook is a really fun and easy Application to use, you can use it for a number of thing, like talking to old friends from different countries or for background checks on jobs or even for schooling. For schooling you can use it for a lot of projects and for getting a hold of friends to talk about projects. Even if your friend is offline you can still talk to them because you could send them a private message, talking about your project. We had a project for a class and the pictures I needed where on Facebook, I no longer had them on my computer because of my Hard drive crashing, well I had all the pictures I needed on Facebook, all I had to do was save it to my computer! It was very simple, me and my friends shared a lot of our ideas on there when we went home after school. here's an example of me using it for school: (picture would not upload again...)
Engrade, this is one of my favorite Applications for school, because you can check you online marks and how you are doing in class, first you need you Id code from your teacher, then you make your own username and password, then you can sign into Engrade (Canada Version) and see what you got on your last text and how much it was out of and what percentage you got. Its also split up like tests and what your average percentage on tests are and what your average is on assignments. Then it will give you a total percentage on what your getting in that class. You can also view you mark, but only you can check them between you and your teacher, other students in you class can't see your marks, its all digital and only you can see what your getting on that class. Google earth Is my last Application and this is an app that can view everywhere in the world. You can search up places like Rome and then it will give you the street names and locations in Rome. This is something really cool if you want to learn and actually physically see what Rome or something looks like, like what their streets are like, you go on street view and it actually looks like you are there! but the only difference is everything it a still image not everyone any everything is moving. But you can search up famous places like that Kodak Theater, and it will tell you that this place is in Hollywood California on the Hollywood Blv. and you could just type in "Kodak Theater" and you would get all the information about it and you would get lots of pictures, not how is this useful for school? Well now your doing an assignment on Hollywood, you know nothing about it or even what it looks like, well type that in and you can roam the streets of Hollywood as if you where actually there!
